Beyond quality child care, Little Big Kid's Family Daycare offers 3 essential tools that contribute to the healthy growth and development of all the children that are enrolled. These important tools are: 1. Curriculum - Early learning is just as important as a safe child care environment so Little Big Kid's follows age appropriate curriculum throughout the year including the summer months. 2. Daily Routine - In addition to the daily curriculum, children develop a sense of stability when they become acquainted with a scheduled daily routine so Little Big Kid's implements a routine that include activities such as circle time, singing, reading, exercising, playing, cooking, science, and art activities. 3. A Healthy Food Menu - A healthy breakfast, lunch, and two snacks are served everyday. All meals served meet the nutrition requirements established by USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program.
The Provider
My name is Sarah Fournier. Little Big Kid's Family Daycare is my home based business located in Oxford, MA, which is also the same small town where I grew up. I have over 20 years of experience working with children that include; previous employment in daycare facilities, volunteer work, raising my own children, running my own child care business, and more.
As previously stated I have been a licensed child care provider since 2004. In order to maintain licensing I am required by The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and The Department of Early Education and Care to complete yearly training, maintain CPR and First Aid certification, and operate my business accordingly as the department enforces with unannounced visits and license renewal procedures.
Over and above the state and department requirements I have my Associate's Degree in Executive Office Administration from Salter College and I am currently enrolled at Becker College to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I also have a certificate from The Salter School as a graduate of the Office Support Specialist Program, and I am a member of the Yours for Children, Inc. Child and Adult Care Food Program which encourages and enforces healthy eating habits.
My mission is to provide an affordable, safe, and caring learning environment for all the children that are enrolled. I also encourage individuality, friendships, growth, creativity, and respect. Above all that, my main objective is to put parents' minds at ease by assuring them that their children are being properly taken care of while they are at work or in school.
If you are interested in making an appointment to see Little Big Kid's Family Daycare in person, feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and good luck in your search to find the right child care for you and your family!
My Family Child Care License
After completing the process to become a Family Child Care Provider the Department of Early Education and Care issues a license to provide these services. This license will state important information regarding the licensee, such as, the provider's name, the address where child care can be given, the provider's license number, total capacity the facility can contain at one time, and how many floors are licensed as well as which rooms on each floor are licensed.
It is important for parents to look for this license when they are seeking child care. If you can't find it, ask to see it. Make sure the address on the license coincides with the location the provider offers child care services. Check the issue date as well as the expiration date. Write down the provider's license number and save it for your records. You may need to list it in any correspondence with the Department of Early Education and Care to reference that particular provider. My license number is 2083741.

My Enrollment Capacity
My current licensed capacity is 8. At any one time, I can only care for the number of children that I've been licensed for, which may include my own children, depending on their ages. I may have more than 8 children enrolled in care as long as only 8 are in the facility at once. In addition, EEC regulations state that I cannot care for more than 3 children under the age of two without an assistant, with one of those children being at least 15 months old and walking unassisted.
